Canadian dollar hits record high before settling at 104.96 at market close

Despite the warnings we have been hearing for the last two or three decades that economic disaster would ensue if the Canadian Dollar was valued at par or better with the U.S., so far everything is full steam ahead.

Considering the dismal state of the U.S. economy and government coffers perhaps Mr. Harper should rethink his ideas about trying to mimic American social and economic policies.
